U/NORD Kursuscenter's digital upgrade towards the course platform of the future

U/NORD’s Kursuscenter needed a modern platform to make it easier for businesses and participants to find and enroll in courses. The new solution has enhanced the user experience, streamlined administration, and simplified data management. With a new design, fewer clicks in the enrollment process, and improved demand insights, the course platform is now ready for the future.

Greater user-friendliness and smarter workflows

With the need for a more flexible and future-proof solution, U/NORD Kursuscenter has taken a significant digital step with its new platform built on MCB Cloud.

The previous solution was limited in both design and functionality and lacked support for statistics, data measurement, and an efficient presentation of the course offerings.

The new platform automatically imports course data, provides better insights into demand, and makes it easier to manage both AMU and IDV courses. At the same time, the enrollment process has been optimized, allowing participants to find relevant courses and events more quickly and intuitively.

With a webshop-like approach and fewer clicks in the process, the user experience has been significantly improved, and internal workflows have been streamlined.

Webshop logic optimizes course enrollment and administration

The new platform is designed to optimize course administration through automation and intelligent data management.

Through integration with STIL, course data is now automatically imported, ensuring that offered courses are always up to date - without the need for manual maintenance. However, the platform goes a step further by also displaying courses that U/NORD is authorized to offer but has not yet scheduled. This provides unique insight into demand and creates a data-driven foundation for planning new course programs.

To enhance the user experience, the enrollment process has been optimized with inspiration from the e-commerce world. Participants now encounter a registration flow similar to what they know from online shopping, making it easier and more intuitive to find and enroll in courses.

Instead of a simple list view, courses are presented as products in a visually appealing and structured format. When users click on a course, they are met with a well-organized page featuring improved design, relevant content, and a course overview in a sidebar. Additionally, related courses are automatically displayed in a product carousel, making it easier to discover relevant alternatives and complementary learning opportunities.

Additionally, events are now gathered in a user-friendly calendar, allowing businesses to quickly gain insight into upcoming events and register directly. This creates a more streamlined experience, where navigation feels natural as it is based on familiar digital purchasing habits.

The technical upgrade has also improved administrative workflows.

For example, IDV courses can now be managed more flexibly with a payment solution, and events requiring payment can be handled directly through the platform—similar to the e-commerce experience with a digital shopping cart. These improvements ensure a more scalable solution that meets both current needs and future developments.

And soon, an A-kasse form function will be introduced, enabling participants to select courses, after which the system will automatically generate and submit the form.

This saves time and reduces errors.

We have taken our own medicine and learned a lot along the way.

This has been a process where we haven’t just gained a new platform—we have also transformed the way we work. A commercial mindset has become a natural part of our approach, and we have seen firsthand the impact of bringing together expertise across the organization. Together, we are stronger, and with the new platform, we now have a solid digital foundation that streamlines our workflows and provides better insights into demand.

A major advantage of this collaboration has been MCB’s deep knowledge of the AMU sector and their experience working with other schools. They understood our needs from the start but also challenged us in the right areas, which has elevated the project even further.

Bo and Daniel have been fantastic sparring partners, embracing challenges while also pushing us when needed. The collaboration has been seamless, and we look forward to building on this strong foundation in the future.
